Name: Rick Nolan

Office Sought:  Minnesota's 8th Congressional District, U.S. House of Representatives

About: Rick Nolan was elected in 2012 and is the US Representative for Minnesota's Eighth Congressional District. Rick has been ranked as one of the top ten most effective Congressman and proven fighter against trade deals that move jobs overseas, for campaign finance reform, and defending Social Security and Medicare. Currently, he serves as a member of the Transportation and Agriculture Committees. Nolan faces the same self funding Republican opponent this cycle who he narrowly beat last cycle by 1.4%

Why he endorsed Voters First:

A democracy that represents all Americans is the true democracy and that starts with EVERYONE being inspired and able to cast a ballot. Rick believes that it's time for Congress to get back to work. He has promised that he will not spend any time "dialing for dollars" when he is in DC and should be working for the people of Minnesota and the Nation.

How he is running a Voters First campaign:

We're running a grassroots campaign in one of the most competitive races in the country. The average person gave our campaign $22 last quarter and we had over 11,000 donors step up to send Rick back to Congress. Rick believes that people talking to their neighbors about issues that matter to them is not only the best way, but the only way to build real momentum and a winning campaign.
